Where to find a good used bike in Houston - 2005/02/04 03:53 I'm looking for a used mountain bike for a friend of mine so she can ride with me at memorial and ant hills. She's only got about $100 to spend and I've been telling her she would be better off getting a used a bike with decent frame and components than getting the $70 walmart special.

But I haven't had much luck with ebay (looking for local bikes only), the greensheet or the chronicle classifieds.

Does anyone know if there are any other places I've missed looking?

Where to find a good used bike in Houston - 2005/02/08 00:32 Some bike shops sell used bikes, that'd be my first choice. You could use the bikeHouston list of bike shops and let your fingers do the walking. Besides that, most pawn shop have tons of bikes, and you might get lucky.

This is a free nation wide classified ad website without banner or popup ads. Ads are sorted by city and topic. The website is paid for by those who post jobs on it for a nominal fee.

There have been ~ 90 ads posted under "bikes" in Houston in last 10 days.
