Cycle Cross Bike - 2005/07/09 20:29 I'm a pretty new rider looking for a cycle cross bike. Any suggestions for a good entry-level type bike? I was looking into general hybrids originally but like the road bike type handlebars of the cycle cross bike better.

Cycle Cross Bike - 2005/07/10 17:52 I hear the name "Surly Cross Check" over and over again for a good entry-level XC bike, though I've never ridden one.

Did you know that the XC bikes have their hand brakes reversed... left one is rear, right one is front? That helps the fast mount / dismount... but it would sure befuddle me when road riding !
