Google Map of Bike Fatality Data - 2007/12/29 17:21
This map was constructed from news reports over the past five years. It is not a complete accounting, obviously. Yellow indicate daytime accidents, purple indicates nighttime accidents.
Obviously, (1) darkness is a huge influence. But also, I'd like you all to notice that (2) the vast majority of these deaths are outside Loop 610, and a significant number outside Beltway 8.
