JOB TITLE: Certified Technician
Full Time
COMPENSATION: (Min)$8.75 (Max)$14.75
WORK SCHEDULE: Varies; 32 – 40 hours, some nights and weekends
JOB SCOPE: Responsible for preparation and repair of bikes and other merchandise. Implements strategies for meeting shop goals and is responsible for training and certification of store’s technical staff. Prioritizes shops daily tasks. Assist Supervisor in the day to day operations of the shop and rental department. Responsible for all aspects of the activities in the rental department. Oversees record keeping and responses to quality issues, maintains a clean, organized, and safe shop and rental department; works to expand shop services and work in supporting local cycling events in the community.
OTHER: The ideal candidate will be performing at a high level in their current position, is interested in contributing new ideas to the REI-Houston team, is enthusiastic about REI, and is interested in continued self-development. 2 years prior Bike Shop experience is required. Selected candidate will attend the Barnett Certification Program and/or programs as required by REI management.
