Tour de France in Houston - 2005/07/05 17:04
The Tour de France begins this weekend and I [PETER] have teamed up with Bicycle World & Fitness (BWF) and Memorial Athletic Club (MAC) to provide you with a number of events to cheer on Lance Armstrong as he goes for his seventh win, all in aid of the Lance Armstrong Foundation and the MAC Cancer Fitness Program.
We are opening up with a Tour kick -off party at Bicycle World & Fitness on Tuesday July 5th 6pm-9pm.
Watch the day's racing on the big screen TV and enjoy some hot food and a cold beverage.
BWF is at 851 Dairy Ashford, near Memorial.
A portion of all store proceeds during the evening go to charity.
Once the Tour rolls into the mountains we will be hosting our big event; the Tour de France breakfast party, Saturday July 16th from 7.00 until 11.00 am at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, West Oaks Mall, HWY6 & Westheimer.
You can purchase tickets now at the MAC or BWF, or direct from me. They are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
There will be plenty door prizes, complimentary coffee and croissants, and a grand raffle for a pair of his & hers Electra Townie bikes, a Discovery team cycling outfit and a MAC membership.
In addition, all attendees receive the coveted yellow wristband!
