Best Bike Shop in Houston? - 2006/01/22 02:25 I am taking a good friend bike shopping and she is brand new to the biking world. I need to find the best bike shop in the Houston Area (I live in Humble, but will travel).

I am looking for knowledgeable and non-agressive sales staff with a large sellection.

I am lookingfor a houston version of the Richardson Bikemart in Dallas.

Re:Best Bike Shop in Houston? - 2006/01/31 04:48 Well, if you are ever in the Southwest Houston area, I highly recommend Bob and his family at Southwest Schwinn at Fondren and Braeswood Blvd. We have traded with them for the past 10 years and have also sent many of our friends over for bicycles and accessories. They are good, honest folk who listen to what you want and help match you up with what you need.

 Re:Best Bike Shop in Houston? - 2006/03/17 15:09 You need to check out ACME Bicycles in Katy on Mason Road. I have purchased four bikes from them, and have many friends who have as well. Phenomenal staff, store and selection. They carry Trek, Giant, LeMond, Cannondale, Raliegh, Gary Fisher, and more. I used to live in Richardson, so I know about the Bike Mart. These folks are fabulous! I refuse to shop anywhere else. Their number is 281-492-RIDE. Talk to Michael. Good luck.

 Re:Best Bike Shop in Houston? - 2006/03/18 05:13 Try ACME bikes in Katy, South of I-10 on Mason about 3/4 of a mile. We've bought 2 Trek bikes there as well as various accessories. The folks there are quite helpful and the selection is excellent. Good luck!
