W Bellfort Park n' Ride into Downtown - 2008/06/20 14:54 I use this route for commuting in the morning and afternoon, to and from work. This map is true to the trail so if you're interested in riding the Braes Bayou and want to see how to navigate it, this will help you. There are a few tricky parts on the trail that can throw you off.

The placemarks have useful information. Zoom in with the satellite view to see the route up close.

If anyone is interested in possibly riding into downtown with me, send me a message. I average anywhere between 11-15 mph most of the time. The ride itself is just under 18 miles one way.

Re:W Bellfort Park n' Ride into Downtown - 2008/06/21 07:20 WOW! Your the first person I've heard of that commutes from that far out. I use the same route but I get on the Brays Trail at Endicot and Brays which is close to the 610 loop. It's about 10.5 miles for me into downtown and I try to make it in 45 minutes, wind depending. The route works well, but don't you hate it when you catch a red light at McGowan and San Jacinto? Interesting scenery. I'm usually on the trail around 6:15 AM. Some days, I'll board my bike on the 261 P&R in the AM and just ride home in the evening. Do you ever use the 265 P&R to transport your bike?
