Bicyclist killed in hit-and-run accident

Copyright 2002 Houston Chronicle A man was killed by a hit-and-run driver while riding a bicycle in northwest Harris County early today. Salvador Ramirez, age and address unknown, was riding east in the 4500 block of Spring Cypress when he was struck about 1:30 a.m., said Harris County Sheriff's Department deputies. The driver of the white, Jeep-type vehicle that hit Ramirez fled after the accident, deputies said. Ramirez died at the scene.
