Site Reloaded, Spam Cleared, Changes to come - 2006/07/17 07:31
Hi everybody,
You may have noticed that we were hit by a hacker. We had some backup files, but the most recent one was corrupt, so it took a few days to get everything back up and running. There may still be a few things not quite right. If you see any problems, please let us know. You can right to me using my name (see below) at bikehouston.org.
Also, the message forums have been hit very hard by spammers. We're doing our best to keep the spam out without inconveniencing legimitate posts but after clearing out over 5,000 spam posts to this forum, I think we're going to have to take another approach. So, in the near future you may have to validate your input with one of those "CAPTCHA" mechanisms that make you type the letters you see in an image.
