Across Galveston Causeway - 2007/02/27 01:58
In 2004 a user here reported that bicyclists may use the IH-45 causeway across the intracoastal waterway to Galveston Island. Another reported that a TxDOT official indicated that such transit is legal.
Is the same still true? Can someone report a recent crossing of the causeway? If so, can you provide a description of the trip -- what time of day; what were the road conditions in terms of traffic, debris presence, and condition of the deck itself?
