Bicyclist killed on Old Katy Road

Police are investigating the death of a bicyclist who was hit by a van in west Houston Friday night, police said.
The van stuck the unidentified bicyclist about 7 p.m. in the 7000 block of Old Katy Road, police said.
The man suffered severe head trauma and was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, they said.
The investigation is ongoing, police said. No further details were immediately available Friday night.
