With the exception of our county expenditures for bike paths along floodways and parks, our county seems to have a bigger budget for protecting ducks than cyclists.
Come to think of it, if a motorist were to run over a duck, PETA would be all over that one. If a motorist runs over a cyclists, law enforcement sometimes seems to have the cliche expressed in the Forest Gump movie, "--It Happens".
