Mayor Announces Tour de Houston Recommended Ride |

An exciting new Recommended Ride is being unveiled this week. Houston Mayor Bill White will announce the new Tour de Houston during a press conference at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at City Hall. An official Recommended Ride of the BP MS 150 Bike Tour, the Tour de Houston takes place Saturday, March 19. It will have 20- and 40-mile routes through Houston's beautiful, historic inner loop neighborhoods. The ride is co-chaired by Mayor White, Councilwoman Carol Alvarado and Senator Rodney Ellis. Proceeds benefit Houston's parks and recreation. More information on the Tour de Houston, including maps and registration, can be found here.
Bike Tour participants are encouraged to show their support by attending the mayor's press conference Friday at City Hall. Riders are encouraged to wear their team jerseys.
