TRAFFIC SAFETY ISSUES -- SAVE THE DATE
Community Advisory Meeting: Improving Traffic Safety in Memorial Park
When: Thursday, April 7th, 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Where: St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell Street in Houston located just northeast of the park near the Fitness Center and pool)
Are you a visitor to the park or live in a nearby neighborhood? Are you a recreational user (e.g. jogger, bicyclist, tennis player, golfer, etc) or lover of Memorial Park's natural landscape? This is your opportunity to learn about some of the traffic and transportation issues facing the park Houston's largest and most popular park. This is also an opportunity to present your ideas for improving bicycle and pedestrian safety in the park.
Come with your questions, concerns, and ideas on how to make Memorial Park an even better place. The evening will include presentations by traffic safety experts and participation by representatives of City of Houston agencies. We will identify possible hazards and improvements. Follow-up workshop to be hosted within 2 weeks of this meeting to present final ideas for possible implementation.
