This online community is dedicated to spreading the principles and practices of safe bicycling throughout the Cy-Fair community. This is a resource for teachers, administrators, parents, and students.
The objective is no more deaths or serious injuries due to car - bike crashes. We must not lose any more young people to the epidemic of vehicular crashes. Our attitutude is one of zero tolerance.
Yet, locking our young people onto schoolbuses and parent-driven cars is not the answer either. Young people (and adults) need to exercise. If they don't, they become overweight and suffer from terrible diseases like Type II Diabetes, high blood pressure and have very poor self-esteem and an impaired social life. They might even end up living shorter lives than their parents. How is that keeping them safe?
One answer is to teach teens and children how to become much better bike riders. In many crashes, there is something the cyclist could've done in order to save him or herself. This website gathers that life-saving knowlege together in one place for the Cy-Fair community.
