The 2008 Ramble is Sunday October 26, 2008 at 2:00 a.m.

First of all remember that this ride is called the BikeHouston Moonlight Ramble. Therefore, each year the ramble date is chosen to be the weekend in October nearest the full moon... otherwise it wouldn't be much of a moonlight ramble, would it?

By tradition the Ramble always starts at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning. Yes this is an unusual time to start a ride. Yes, there are some drawbacks to this time. But we have found when we mess with tradition, we get a lot of complaints.Registration usually starts at 11 p.m. Saturday night.

Sometimes the Ramble falls on the night that the time changes. But that's just a coincidence when it does. When this occurs, we don't wait another hour to start the ride, so don't show up an hour late!

Sometimes the Ramble falls on the Halloween weekend, but that's just a coincidence too. At any time, but especially when this occurs, participants are encouraged to dress up (make sure a helmet is part of your costume) and decorate their bicycles.
